Healing
Intergenerational Healing Masses
Twice a year, the Marian Servants host an Intergenerational Healing Mass. During this mass, participants present the need for healing within their families in a particular way and offer them to the Lord. Preparation of a family tree and formation aids in the process, thus attendance at a pre-mass formation meeting is highly encouraged.
Healing Prayer Teams after Community Masses
Each month, the Marian Servants host a Mass, followed Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the recitation of the rosary, and the sacrament of Reconciliation. Healing Prayer Teams are available after the Eucharistic celebration.

Richard McAlear, OM.I., Heart of the Father Ministries (UNBOUND), and/or Christian Healing Ministries. Individual healing prayer sessions are available by request.

Spiritual Direction
Am I a candidate for Spiritual direction?
Spiritual Direction is recommended for people who are actively seeking God’s will in the midst of their daily life. In spiritual direction, there is a one-on-one conversation about one’s experience of prayer and the spiritual consequences of that experience to living a full, mature Christian life. The true director is the Holy Spirit who helps the trained spiritual director to “hear” what the directee is truly saying about his/her faith life. Ultimately, as directees grow in their understanding of God’s working in their life, a deeper, more intimate relationship emerges with the Lord, thus producing a spirit which is more docile and surrendered. A directee is encouraged to pray on scripture and spend time with the Lord daily.

Ignatian Prayer
Learn more about Ignatian Prayer
Ignatian prayer provides a vehicle to help a person come to healing, freedom and purpose in Christ. Through meditation on the Scriptures and the practice of imaginative contemplation one is drawn into deeper personal awareness and understanding of God’s love and mercy, resulting in a desire to grow in virtue and serve God’s people. The directee is offered a scripture (or scriptures) and a related grace to reflect on. Feelings and emotions will surface as the words and images touch the mind and heart. The directee is encouraged to have an inner dialogue with the Lord as memories and personal connections arise. The prayer hour concludes with an expression of gratitude to the Lord for his goodness and grace. A short time of review of the prayer and writing on one’s journal is recommended.
If you are interested in Ignatian Prayer, we offer the following programs:
Abide in Me
A program created to deepen your relationship with the Lord using the 8 themes of prayer developed by Fr. John Wickham. This program is a grace-filled prelude to the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.
19th Annotation of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises
This version of the Exercises is extended over several months so as to allow individuals to experience the exercises amidst their daily lives with weekly prayer practices, readings, and meditations. The person would meet once a week with a spiritual director who would facilitate the retreat and provide the necessary prayer materials. Prior experience with spiritual direction in the Ignatian tradition is required for this profound spiritual experience. We offer the Exercises individually at many parishes in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and the Dallas area.
