“We have to learn to pray: as it were learning this art ever anew from the lips of the Divine Master himself, like the first disciples:

‘Lord, teach us to pray!’ (Lk 11:1)

Pope John Paul II.

“Prayer makes your heart bigger until it is capable of containing

the gift of God Himself”

Blessed Teresa of Calcutta

Act of Consecration to Mary

I (name) a faithless sinner-renew and ratify today in your hands,

O Immaculate Mother, the vows of my baptism;

I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works;

and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom,

to carry my Cross after Him all the days of my life,

and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.

In the presence of all the heavenly court I choose you this day

for my Mother and mistress. I deliver and consecrate to you,

as your slave, my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior,

and even the value of all my good actions,past, present and future;

leaving to you the entire and full right of disposing of me,

and all that belongs to me, without exception,

according to your good pleasure, for the greater glory of God,

in time and in eternity.

Prayer to Saint Michael
The Archangel
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle,
be our protection against the malice and snares of the Devil.
May God restrain him, we humbly pray, and do you,
O prince of the heavenly host, by the divine power
cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits
who roam through the world
seeking the ruin of souls.

Prayer To The Holy Spirit

O Holy Spirit

soul of my soul

I adore you.

strengthen and console me.

Tell me what I ought to do

and command me to do it.

I promise to submit to everything

that you ask of me

and to accept all

that you allow to happen to me.

Just show me what is your will.

Prayer for Bishops, Priests, Deacons, Brothers,

Sisters, Lay Ministers & Seminarians

Lord Jesus, hear our prayer for the spiritual renewal

of bishops priests, deacons, brothers, sisters,

lay ministers and seminarians, especially those of

our own diocese.

We praise you for giving their ministry to the Church. In these days, renew them with the gifts of Your Spirit.

You once opened the Holy Scriptures to Your disciples when You walked on this earth.  Now renew Your ordained and  chosen ones with the truth and power of Your Word.

In Eucharist you gave Your disciples renewed life

 and hope.  Nourish Your consecrated ones with

 Your Own Body and Blood.   Help them to imitate in their lives the death and resurrection they celebrate around Your altar.

Give them enthusiasm for the Gospel, zeal for the salvation of all people, courage in leadership and humility in service.

Give them Your love for one another and for

all their brothers and sisters in You.  For You

 love them, Lord Jesus and we love and pray

for them in Your Holy Name.

Prayer for Our Country

Holy Trinity, One God, we bow before you and praise your majesty. We thank you for your loving, providential care of our country. We come once again pleading for mercy for the United States of America that is in such need. Bless our vital institutions of family, education and church. Revitalize the legal, medical and entertainment professions with grace that heals and upholds your people. Send your angels to nullify evil perpetrated by factions. Give us the grace to stand strong against the forms of evil present in our culture that deny you, work against life and threaten the gift of marriage. May your holy presence fill our homes, schools, media and our courts. Fill our leaders with your wisdom and great fortitude. Allow every citizen to truly believe that it is in you that we trust. As patroness of our country, Mary our mother, pray with us and for us. Amen.
